The Prisming Process

1. Preparation
Duration
: 1-2 hours
When: A couple of days leading up to the event
What: A toolkit will be provided with some general information about the climate crisis
Doing your own research into the specific event is encouraged
Prepare a space where you will be during the event and when you prims that puts you in the right frame of mind. Select and prepare your tools so that what you attempt to do is doable within the time frame. Simplicity of preparation and execution is key.

2. Meet the other prismers
Duration: 15 minutes
When: 30 minutes for the event starts
What: Meet the other artists half an hour before the the event. Introduce yourself.

3. The event itself
Duration: 1-2 hours
Listen for what’s behind the words, find elements that inspire you, expand on the idea. Listen to what is happening inside you as you take in the message. Speak freely, speak with intention and intuition. Doodle, take notes, make small recordings, be in the moment. Later you can collect and make the prism the way you see it.

4. Finishing up
When: 6 hours after the event has finished
Finish your prism, upload and tag it. You decide how long you want it to be available and what you want to do with it. The Bards will repost it and leave it up for the duration of the climage conference and share but you will have ownership

5. Meet and share
When: 6-8 hours after the event has finished (decided by the host)
Duration: 30 minutes
Share your experience with the other artists that also prismed the event. How was the process, how did you feel when prisming, how did you experience the subject matter?

6. Solo Prisming

You can also do a prism on your own if this suits you better. We encourage to follow the preparations phase and to stick with a time limited production phase. Sharing your prism is also good, especially with the people that you prismed. Prisming is a flexible format based on trust and intuition and can work in many ways!
